Attorney Paul Shkreli
Paul Shkreli is the founder of Shkreli Legal PLLC and has spent more than a decade representing individuals, families, and businesses throughout Michigan. He is known for combining practical advice, thorough preparation, and aggressive advocacy to help clients navigate complex legal disputes and some of life's most difficult challenges.
Whether representing a homeowner after a catastrophic fire loss, defending a client facing criminal charges, or litigating an insurance coverage dispute, Paul approaches every matter with the same commitment: providing strategic, effective representation tailored to the client's goals.
Paul earned his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University, where he held numerous leadership positions and developed a strong interest in public service. He went on to attend Michigan State University College of Law, serving as President of the Student Bar Association, competing on the Jessup International Moot Court Team, and working with legal aid organizations and members of the judiciary throughout Metro Detroit.
Since being admitted to practice in Michigan in 2013, Paul has represented thousands of clients in courts across the state. His practice includes insurance litigation, property-loss claims, personal injury matters, business/contract litigation, and criminal defense. He has substantial experience handling complex matters involving insurance coverage disputes, fraud allegations, fire losses, valuation disputes, contract claims, and declaratory judgment actions.
Paul has developed a particular reputation for representing policyholders in insurance disputes involving homeowners, commercial, and automobile insurance claims. He regularly assists clients in pursuing benefits wrongfully withheld by insurers and has successfully handled matters involving catastrophic property losses, coverage denials, ordinance and law claims, residency disputes, and appraisal proceedings.
Outside the courtroom, Paul remains actively involved in the legal profession and his community. In 2026, he was recognized as one of Oakland County's "40 Under 40" honorees. He serves as Chair of the Solo and Small Firm Committee of the Oakland County Bar Association and previously served on the Michigan Judicial Council's Race and Social Equity Workgroup. He is also a founding member of the Michigan Albanian American Bar Association and has participated in numerous initiatives focused on access to justice and community engagement.
Paul is licensed to practice in all Michigan state courts and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
When he is not practicing law, Paul enjoys spending time with his wife and children, following Michigan State athletics, writing about video games and popular culture, and attempting to negotiate with his children—who have proven every bit as challenging as opposing counsel.
